WHAT WE ARE ABOUT AT THE TEXAS PRO SHOWCASE - "PLAY THE GAME"
The Texas Pro Baseball Showcase is an elite baseball talent evaluating and teaching event. Over three days, players will showcase their baseball skills, play against top competition and learn from professional scouts and coaches. Check out the staff page to see who has committed to attend.
The event will take place over 3 days beginning with a Friday skills evaluation followed by competitive games on Saturday and Sunday. Each player will be placed on a team coached by professional scouts or professional coaches. Space is limited!
The Texas Pro Showcase is particularly excited about the Friday night "Fast Break Defensive Skills Evaluations" that will test the abilities, skills, tools, arm strength, fielding range, and knowledge of the game, in a fast paced competitive setting. Every player will walk away knowing that their skills were showcased for all to see leaving little doubt as to a player's evaluation.
The goal of the showcase is to provide a relaxed environment where players present their baseball abilities, receive baseball instruction from professionals, make connections that will help further their playing career, learn about the scouting/recruiting process and most of all enjoy the game of baseball.
Each hitter will have his arm strength, defensive skills, hitting skills and speed evaluated and documented. Each hitter will participate in Pro style on-field batting practice and pre-game infield. Each hitter will participate in 3 games as a hitter with a minimum of 8 competitive at bats in live games. Following the event, each hitter will receive a detailed evaluation that is a summation of all coach/scout input in a printable, understandable document. In the evaluation, each hitter will be given an overall scouting grade and recommended level of play post high school. That is our guarantee.
Each pitcher will have his delivery, arm action and pitches evaluated and documented. Each pitcher will throw in the bullpen with a scout teaching and evaluating his skills and techniques. Each pitcher will pitch a minimum of 2 competitive innings in live games. Each pitcher will be taught the proper "day before" and "day of" throwing routine. Following the event, each pitcher will receive a detailed evaluation that is a summation of all coach/scout input in a printable, understandable document. In the evaluation, each pitcher will be given an overall scouting grade and recommended level of play post high school. That is our guarantee.
Arm health is of utmost importance to the Texas Pro Baseball Showcase. Every precaution will be taken to insure a healthy event. Each pitchers total number of pitches will be monitored, counted and considered when making out pitching changes. We recognized this delicate balance in that you come to these events to show your ability but must care for your arm. Trust that we share that desire and will do all in our power to preserve the health of all the players.
In addition to showcasing your skills, learning from scouts, playing against elite competition in a premier baseball region, we at the Texas Pro Baseball Showcase offer unique learning and connecting seminars for parents and players. On Saturday, during times when your team is not playing, "talks" about the scouting process, college recruiting process, and baseball in general will be offered for parents and players. The goal is to provide needed and desired information, in an intimate setting that allows for questions and answers. We encourage you to take full advantage of these times.
